Cementing audition technique, scene study, and character development. Class 1 & 2 This class explores the audition process, both in-person and through self-tapes. Students will learn how to make strong choices, identify their personal “tells,” and understand the role of their character within a scene as it will be filmed. The course also covers essential self-tape techniques and technical requirements, ensuring students present themselves professionally and effectively in every audition. Class 3 & 4 This class guides students through essential steps for building a career in film and television. Participants will practice creating effective self-tapes and gain an introduction to the business side of the industry, including agents, résumés, headshots, and networking. Once they’ve “got the part,” students will learn how to prepare for shoot day by understanding call sheets, analyzing scripts to deepen their characters, and organizing themselves for a successful day on set. Class 5 & 6 In this class, students will focus on shooting a scene while learning the technical aspects that allow them to concentrate fully on character work. Emphasis will be placed on continuity and making strong acting choices that support both the character and the overall flow of the scene.
