Looking for more personalized guidance in the studio? Our semi-private pottery class offers a low student-to-teacher ratio with a maximum of 4 participants and a minimum of 2. This intimate setting is perfect for those looking to deepen their skills, receive more one-on-one support, and enjoy a focused, relaxed environment. Whether you're building confidence or refining your technique, this class meets you where you're at.
The aim towards the end of this class is for you to start to have enough control of the clay that you make the shapes you intend to.
To register for this class you must have taken at leasttwo beginner wheel classes. You should be able to:
centre consistently without assistance
have a clear understanding of the steps involved in throwing a cylinder or bowl
be ready to practice and learn from what you have made
You will be introduced to simple but effective surface decorating techniques and methods of choosing and applying glazes. Our classes are intended for adults and youth aged 15+.
Please note that all materials and tools will be provided. We do not provide aprons so please bring one or dress in clothes you don't mind getting dirty. We arecommend bringing a small towel for your hands.
The class duration is 2.5 hour, clean up is included in this time.
