There’s nothing more rewarding in acting class than diving into scene work—especially when it’s comedy.
In this 6-week course, students will sharpen their acting skills, strengthen performance techniques, and learn how to deliver dialogue with honesty and ease. With a strong emphasis on comedic timing and character connection, participants will explore scenes from a variety of playwrights and genres, focusing on how to bring truth, spontaneity, and depth to their performances. Working in pairs and groups, students will develop collaboration skills while learning how to break down a script, analyze character motivations, and create believable relationships on stage. While this is a Level 2 class and prior acting experience is recommended, all are welcome to join and explore the joy of scene work and comedy in a supportive, creative environment.
