Intro to Painting: Still Life is a course designed for beginner-intermediate level painters to build and hone foundational observational painting skills. Through the tradition of still life painting, students will become familiar with colour theory, form and value, and the importance of composition. This course will explore both acrylic and oil painting, examining the strengths and differences between each medium. Habitual classroom discussion and critique will foster a constructive classroom environment. Upon completing this course, students will have a solid grasp on the fundamentals of observational painting.
