For beginners, but experienced printmakers are welcome too. Instruction following the classic print techniques: monoprint, linocut, drypoint, etching on aluminum and zinc plates. Experienced printmakers are welcome to follow their own projects. (For silkscreen, please see Farouk Kaspaule’s course, Silkscreen and Beyond). Students are required to purchase paper suitable for printmaking (available at the school). Students will use primarily environmentally friendly, non-irritating materials.
Please be advised, however, that odorless solvents and copper sulfate baths will be used in the classroom.
