In this course we will develop a broad range of approaches to clay sculpture. We will explore using both traditional and non-traditional techniques. Learn the basics in hand-building and modeling. Exercises are introduced to explore elements of composition and an understanding of line, texture and balance. Students will also work on an independent project. This will be a fun and dynamic course that will provide a forum for discussion and exploration of clay sculpture, and its possibilities.
